Galaxies are giant groups of millions or even trillions of stars. Our own local galaxy is the Milky Way. Mere may be 20 trillion galaxies in the Universe.
Sucked in
Spiral galaxies may have a giant black hole at the center, which sucks in stars like water spiraling down a plug hole
Magellanic clouds
In the night sky of Earth's Southern Hemisphere. two blurry shapes con be seen with the naked eye. These are the Magellanic Clouds - small galaxies lying relatively near to our own galaxy. the Milky Way. The Magellanic Clouds are irregular galaxies. having no distinct pattern or shape.
Amazing
When galaxies get to near they pull each other into weird shapes. often with a long tad or a bright ring. Large galaxies swallow up small ones that get too close.
